The six scoring signals
The checker evaluates clarity, specificity, tension, curiosity, emotional stakes, and platform fit. These signals are weighted into a 0–100 Hook Score.
What the score means
- 78–100: ready to test
- 58–77: revise before posting
- 0–57: rebuild the opening
What the score does not mean
It does not estimate future views, guarantee virality, or know how a platform will distribute the content. Topic demand, creative execution, audience fit, timing, competition, account history, and retention still matter.
AI and fallback analysis
When OpenAI is configured, the tool uses a strict structured-output rubric. If the API is unavailable, a local heuristic provides an explicitly labeled diagnostic so the site does not fabricate an AI result.
The number is a lens. The rewrite is the product.
